Who is Alex?

Hello I am Alex, a recent Compure Game Production Graduate and aspiring Computer Game Designer based in the UK. I have thoroughly enjoyed expanding my knowledge of game development whilst at University and I plan to continue my journey for knowledge by gaining crucial industry experience. To keep myself busy in the mean-time I am set to enter a part-time Masters Degree beginning in late September this year.

My love of playing games has driven me to learn how to create them, particularly as I have a keen interest in world building, from character conceptualisation to setting design, and I strive to integrate these design ideas withing fun projects of my own.

During my Student Enterprise for Games module I was able to gain a better understanding of how market research is a crucial part of game the development process. The module required our small team to develop pitch for a game (that 1st years would then develop), and justify why such a game had good market potential. In developing the pitch I was able to flex my designer muscles, and our pitch was widely well recieved by the 1st years.
